Chapman’s Ice Cream in Markdale is getting a massive boost from the province to the tune of $200 million to expand its operations and build a new facility in the town.
This upgraded facility will enable Chapman’s to increase production capacity, develop new products, meet growing domestic demand and expand into international markets.
Chapman’s has more than 200 products made using exclusively Canadian milk and cream.
Ashley Chapman, Chief Operating Officer for Chapman’s says this expansion comes at a critical time as competition from multinationals has only increased in recent years and this project will help establish a stronger competitive ground.
