3 Grey Bruce First Responders recognized for Bravery with Provincial Medals

Three members of Grey Bruce’s First Responder Community have been recognized for recent acts of bravery.

Two of the recipients of the Ontario Medal for Police Bravery are officers from the Hanover Police Service.

Constable Regan Bill and Constable Devin Perdue are being recognized for actions during a large fire back on May 19th, 2022.

While on patrol they saw smoke & flames billowing out from the Forum rooming house.

They entered the building before firefighters arrived to begin getting tenants out.

The third recipient is Blue Mountains Fire Chief Stephen Conn with the Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery.

He was near the scene of a house fire on January 11th, 2022. A family was unable to reach their 2 children trapped on the second floor.

His swift response meant the children made an escape through a window in the home.
