Hanover Police have charged one man after an assault and weapons investigation.
Officers were called on July 3rd just before 3:30am of a dispute at a motel parking lot between two men known to each other.
A 35 year old of no fixed address assaulted another man, breaking his cell phone and chasing him with what appeared to be a machete concealed in a bag.
The victim suffered minor injuries but did not need medical attention.
Officers located suspect walking on 10th Street who was arrested without incident.
The 35 year old was charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Mischief Under $5000 and two counts of Breach of Probation who was remanded into custody.
