Huron County OPP were called to an area of Highway 21 near Ducharme Beach Road last Thursday morning about an SUV that crashed off the roadway.
An eyewitness informed police that someone in that vehicle got out and walked away appearing disoriented.
The occupant was found on Crystal Springs Road later that morning suffering what is being described as non-life-threatening injuries and was treated in hospital.
A further investigation revealed the same person allegedly broke into a business near the scene of the crash and stole some items.
A 37-year-old from London is facing a number of charges and is scheduled to appear in a Goderich court June 27th.
