The 21 day aeration system trail has wrapped up as part of the Lagoon Sludge Removal Project in Kincardine.
The trail was done to assess the systems ability to improve treatment conditions and dissolved oxygen levels in the aeration cell.
Lab sampling also showed improvements in BOD removal through the aeration cell including recent results indicating removal rates consistent with the treatment process’ intended performance.
Staff continue to review results to better understand the conditions within the lagoon system.
