Created by locally born Marcy McCall McBain, the scholarship looks to discover young people the Huron County region who bring life to their school or community, and to help them continue in this direction.
The scholarship offers up to $28,000 for four years of university. More is available for students who choose to study abroad.
To be eligible, students must a permanent resident of Canada, have an overall average of at least 80% in high school, undertake a first program of undergraduate university studies in 2023 and attend an eligible secondary school in the area.
Eligible schools include:
- Central Huron High School
- F.E. Madill High School
- Goderich District Collegiate Institute
- South Huron District High School
- St Anne’s Catholic Secondary School
