The Township of Arran-Elderslie is mourning the loss of former councilor Doug Bell.
Bell first took office in the Chesley Ward in 2010 who served three terms until 2022.
Bell was also a long time municipal staff member before he entered the council chambers working with the town until he retired in 2004.
Steve Hammel, Mayor of Arran-Elderslie says Doug dedicated his life to serving the people of Chesley who was passionate about healthcare, a committed volunteer and will be deeply missed.
The flag at the municipal office has been lowered in his honour.
