As the May 24 weekend approaches, Bruce County has officially called it a true end to the winter season, keeping a number crunch of just how busy a winter it was on county roads.
Over the course of the season, 52 operators supported snow removal putting in over 20,800 hours of clearing roads, cutting back snowbanks and other winter maintenance.
700 kilometers of roads were maintained with a fleet of 16 plows and 13,642 tonnes of sane and 7330 tonnes of salt being used.
The County has sent their thanks to the operations crew for their dedication of keeping the roadways safe over winter.
