Bruce County and community partners have introduced a Homelessness and Encampment Response Protocol.
This launch will prioritize safety, dignity and consistency for those experiencing homelessness and reflect ongoing work between municipal and community partners.
Through this protocol, municipalities and partners are promoting safety for individuals, connecting those with available support, services and housing options as well as clarifying roles and responsibilities among municipal staff, emergency services and service providers.
Warden Luke Charbonneau says by bringing agencies together they are creating clear pathways to housing and support that are rooted in compassion, guided by common sense and focused on lasting results.
