The program has its roots in aiming to bring women in the community and their families together during the pandemic, offering a chance to reconnect with one another while sharing gifts and creating ribbon skirts for other women in the community.
Visitors to the Museum and Cultural Centre tomorrow evening in Southampton will learn more about the program, view skirts on display and discover the many meanings of Ribbon Skirts and their origins dating back to the 17th and 18th century.
The event is free but seating is limited. Registration is recommended.
