Bruce County council has recognized the work of County Paramedics with Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program Awards.
The meeting on Thursday honoured the paramedics as part of the annual Prehospital Cardiac Save awards for those who have provided lifesaving treatment to a patient with no vital signs and was able to leave the hospital after a cardiac event with the help of early actions of the responder.
Since 2021, nine primary care paramedics are in receipt of this prestigious award from the Southwestern Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program operating through the London Health Sciences Centre:
