Bruce County Rail Trail Committee taking requests for 2024 installation of fencing along Former CNR Corridor

Bruce County Rail Trail Committee taking requests for 2024 installation of fencing along Former CNR Corridor

The Bruce County Rail Trail Fencing Sub-Committee is taking applications via its Sub-Committee to accept requests from landowners on the installation of fencing along the former CNR corridor for next year.

The corridor starts at the Huron County boundary north of Clifford and extends through Mildmay, Walkerton, and Paisley to Port Elgin, and southerly to the Bruce Nuclear Power Development.

Requests will be reviewed and priorities set based on the criteria of significantly deteriorated existing fence, current livestock use on adjacent lands and areas of impending trail use.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, October 25th.

Previous applicants will be considered for 2024 so they need not apply again.

Application forms are available at the Bruce County Transportation & Environmental Services Department at the Walkerton Administration Centre at 30 Park Street.

You can call them at 519-881-2400. The form is also available online at:
