Bruce County has been recognized as an age friendly community by the provincial government.
The county’s contributions were recognized towards creating an accessible and inclusive community with the Ontario Age Friendly Community Recognition Award during the ROMA Conference.
This recognition celebrates the efforts of the county’s Age Friendly Community Initiative to making improvements for accessibility, enhance health services, foster social inclusion and create a vibrant, inclusive environment for seniors.
Warden Luke Charbonneau says this honour reflects the commitment to being a welcoming community for all ages and dedication to planning for residents today and in the future.
