The province is dishing out $20 million in funding for municipalities across Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound to fund infrastructure and municipal operations.
The funding is coming from the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund.
This year a record $600 million is being invested in the fund, an increase of $50 million over the previous year.
MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound Paul Vickers says municipalities across Ontario depend on the OMPF to help fund our roads and bridges, emergency services and much more and he knows this funding will be put to great use by local municipal leaders.
The OMPF is a program which supports municipalities across the province with small, northern and rural geographies as well as those with a limited tax base.
