Bruce Power is dishing out more than $1.35 million to support affordable and attainable housing in Bruce, Grey and Huron County’s.
Bruce Power has pledged $1 million over six years to support the Gibbons Street 40 unit apartment building in Goderich.
Expected to finish in 2026 the building will provide a mix of affordable, rent-geared-to-income and supported units.
Further $150,000 is being given for an affordable residential unit program in Bruce County, Brockton will get $20,000 with Saugeen Shores receiving $38,000.
Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce will also receive $150,000 for 8 residential buildings on Owen Sound’s east side in 2025 and sold to qualifying families.
