Bruce Power is launching an affordable housing seed program to help assist municipalities with new projects.
The program offers grants to help municipalities in the Clean Energy Frontier Region of Bruce, Grey and Huron counties with planning and pre-development costs associated with building new affordable housing projects.
The program will provide $250,000 over the next five years to help stimulate the development of new and affordable housing.
John Peevers, Bruce Power’s Director of Community, Media Relations and Economic Development says the growth in the region has shown the real need for more affordable housing options and they hope the seed funding will help the municipalities get new projects off the ground.
