Bruce Power announced that they along with Ontario Tech University in Oshawa are launching an engineering internship program for women.
It is a four-month internship for eligible female students that will see them participate in the program for three consecutive summers.
They say there is also the potential of a full-year internship between the third and fourth academic year.
In a news release, Bruce Power’s Executive Vice-President of Human Resources Cathy Sprague says the internship program is one way to build a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
She says they have partnered with a number of organizations to develop a pipeline of diverse talent in various roles across the company.
