If you’re planning on enjoying a night out, Saugeen Shores Police are reminding you need a safe way home and calling 911 is not an option.
This came as police earlier this month received multiple 911 calls from a 23 year old who was stranded in Saugeen Shores as he didn’t plan ahead and had no way to get home.
Police spoke with the man who lived outside of Saugeen Shores and while they tried to help find him a friend in town, nothing came.
This resulted in the 23 year old having no way home and being charged for public intoxication who was held in police custody for the night.
Saugeen Shores Police say if you plan to go out for things such as festivals you need to make sure you have a way home.
