The Huron Student Honey Project that saw area students work alongside seniors, learning about honey and processing their own was awarded the Rural Excellence Award. It’s an award that recognizes extraordinary work in economic developing along with outstanding results.
The Back Alley Artist Extravaganza earned second place and an Honorable Mention Award in the Tourist Attraction & Tourist Product Development category.
And finally the Huron Student Honey Project received the highest award handed out by EDCO, the Lieutenant-Governors’ Award. It recognizes the best overall project by judging the winners of all categories. They were up against 87 other winners from across the Province.
