Central Huron has gotten a boost from the province.
MPP Lisa Thompson joined Mayor Ginn, Deputy Mayor Anderson and the Auburn Lions who received $23,300 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation which was awarded in the summer to preserve an important community recreational space.
The grant will support the resurfacing of the Auburn Memorial Hall’s outdoor sports pad, replace basketball nets and complete needed fencing repairs.
The municipality says with these improvements it will help ensure residents have a safe and well maintained space to enjoy outdoor recreation and stay active for years to come.
