North Huron has named Chad Kregar as the newest Fire Chief and Ken DeVries as the Deputy Fire Chief.
In a release the township states Kregar’s leadership with the fire department has been demonstrated over the last 21 years of service as a firefighter and Deputy Fire Chief.
Kregar will oversee the direction of the department with a focus on community safety, operational efficiency and staff development.
Ken DeVries most recently served as the Interim Deputy Chief and brings in over 30 years of experience in fire prevention, community awareness and overall public safety.
Reeve Paul Heffer says these appointments are a testament to their many years of dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to North Huron’s safety and well being.
Both will assume their roles as of October 1st.
