The Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation have hired a security company to monitor the recently re-acquired Saugeen Beach.
The move comes after vehicular traffic had been assembled on the area Friday night and reports of careless and reckless behaviour in the area.
The company, Southwestern Defense, will provide general deterrence and moderate vehicle access to the Beach, for all persons who are not Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation members.
The First Nation says it has engaged with the OPP and are working in coordination with them to assist in keeping it an enjoyable experience for their members.
