The Grey Bruce branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is able to deliver their Youth Awareness Program virtually thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Last year, they received a grant of $137,900 from the Resilience Community Fund in order to allow CMHA to make the transition.
Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker dropped by the centre last week to see what progress was made.
The grant also allowed CMHA to hire two additional staff, able to engage community champions in Grey Bruce, adapt in-person classroom presentations to virtual and pre-taped formats, and create take home kits for children, youth, and families over the holidays.
