The Coastal Conservation Youth Corps have wrapped up the 2024 session who say they feel like they’ve made a lasting impact on the Lake Huron shoreline.
Last month, CCYC took a day trip from Kincardine to continue stewardship efforts in Goderich with a focus on dune restoration bluff stabilization and biodiversity enhancement.
Restoration efforts were also taken at Sunset Park with support from the town and the John Hindmarsh Environmental Trust Fund.
The group addressed the eroding bluff by weeding invasive species and planted low lying deep rooting native shrubs to further stabilize the slope and add to the parks biodiversity.
