Community Living Launching ActiveLiving55+ Program

Community Living Kincardine and District is expanding services for programming and support for all people aged 55 and over with the new ActiveLiving55+ program.

Community Living for over 60 years have been supporting people with developmental disabilities to live enriched, meaningful lives as independently as possible while still being connected with the community.

Building on this, community living is now expanding to offer active living for those 55 years and older regardless of their ability.

Jodee Beer, Coordinator for the ActiveLiving55+ program says they’re hoping to get as much programming as possible at no cost.

“Financial barriers are a thing to consider around for what’s accessible for people to go to. We are trying to offer a lot of programs for free.” said Beer.

Beer adds they’ve been utilizing different programs at a list of different places across Kincardine.
