It is to recognize for the hard work and exceptional service that was delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a news release, the County says paramedics went to long-term care and retirement home to aid in outbreak support, COVID surveillance testing, and offer on-site vaccination clinics for residents and staff.
They say the team has worked quietly behind the scenes to help these facilities stay safe and healthy.
They go on to say that paramedics usually don’t provide this kind of direct support but were able to meet the challenges.
