Crosswalks in Kincardine set to be Painted Saturday as part of Event Celebrating Inclusion

This Saturday, artists and volunteers are coming together along Kincardine’s lakeshore at the bottom of Harbour Street to paint two crosswalks.

Creation of the ground murals is part of the ongoing journey to reconciliation as well as a representation of the community’s action towards supporting and celebrating inclusion.

The first crosswalk will feature the work of Jeffrey George, who is an Ojibway artist who grew up along the shores of Lake Huron at Kettle and Stoney Point.

The second will be a Pride Flag crosswalk. Members of Kincardine Pride will be attending and assisting with the painting.

The painting will be happening from 10 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday, May 20th.

In case of poor weather painting will happen on the Sunday.
