The Wingham & District Hospital held an open house earlier this week celebrating the new CT Scanner suite.
This milestone was made possible with the support of the community as part of the Caring Together campaign which raised $3,600,000.
Jaide Campbell, DI Supervisor they are proud to be the first hospital in Ontario to implement the combined use of Ultravist contrast dye and the Centargo contrast injector from Bayer-MEDRAD.
On top of the CT Scanner for the Wingham Hospital, patients needing advanced diagnostic imaging no longer need to be transferred to Listowel by ambulance, reducing delays in care.
The new scanner went live June 16th and by this fall the Wingham site will provide 24/7 access to this vital service.
