Dogs are now allowed on Saugeen Shores beaches with no time or location restrictions.
The town gives full approval for dogs on beaches from October 1st-May 1st with residents reminded their dog must be kept on a leash unless they are actively swimming and to always pick up after your pet and dispose of waste properly.
From May 1st-October 1st dogs are typically limited on the Saugeen River mouth to High Street flagpole in Southampton and 538 Izzard Road to Concession 6 in Port Elgin.
