Erin O’Grady has been named the next Superintendent of Education for the Bluewater District School Board.
This comes in the departure of Sheryl Elliot who’s been filling in the role for the last year who stepped out of retirement to fill the vacancy at a critical time.
O’Grady brings in a wealth of experience in teaching and leadership roles such as principal, vice-principal and Head of Student Services at Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.
O’Grady says the opportunity to support schools in a region where community connections are so deeply valued is incredibly meaningful to her.
She will assume her role as of August 1st.
