Five South Bruce Students have been awarded the 2023 Post-Secondary Student Bursaries with $1,000 towards their continued education.
The recipients Alena Cassidy, Emma Culbert, Harley Martin, Michelle Van Stuyvenberg and Viviane Weiland each strongly demonstrated their commitment to making South Bruce a better place to live through their community involvement, career ambitions and vision for the future.
Alena is currently enrolled in Conestoga’s Business Administration – Supply Chain & Operations Management Program, Emma is working towards a degree in Civil Engineering at University of Waterloo, while Harley is in Windsor studying Human Kinetics, Michelle is studying Instrumentation & Control Engineering at Lambton College and Viviane is attending Bioresource Engineering at McGill.
The recipients were chosen by Representatives from the Community Liaison Committee, Municipal staff and the NWMO.
The bursaries were funded through the Early Investment in Education and Skills Fund provided by the NWMO.
