The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has issued a water safety message after plenty of rainfall over past few days.
Significant rainfall across the watershed has seen as much as 70mm fall in some areas with current forecasts since Sunday calling between 10-50mm of more rainfall.
Major flooding is not expected at this time but intense flows in rivers and streams can increase quickly and without warning.
Minor flooding does still remain possible but flooding is expected to be limited to low lying, undeveloped floodplain areas.
The water message will be in effect until August 29th unless otherwise updated.
