The funeral details for the late Mayor of Goderich Myles Murdock have been released. Murdock passed away peacefully last Thursday, August 17th.
Murdock was a devoted teacher for 28 years, and a basketball coach to many Goderich youth for 45 years. He followed his father & sisters’ footsteps into politics.
He became a member of Goderich Town Council as a Councillor in 2006 serving until 2010 and then again from 2014 to 2018.
He was Deputy Mayor until 2022 when he was elected Mayor.
The service for Myles will be held on Monday, August 28th at 11am in the West Gym of Goderich District Collegiate Institute at 260 South Street.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Goderich Legion at 56 Kingston Street from noon to 4pm.
