With the wrap up of Education Week, District 8 OSSTF and the Avon Maitland District School Board has recognized this years winner of the Excellence in Public Education Awards.
These awards help celebrate student achievement and teaching excellence.
Maureen Matchett, President, District 8 Secondary Teacher President says whether its the student who has enriched the atmosphere of the school or staff who’s encouraged excellence through their contributions, they all help make everyone’s educational experience a positive one.
GDCI staff recognized include Jason Doble and Melanie Ball as well as students Will Stewart and Sarah Ball.
