Goderich Kinsmen see donation of 153rd Lifesaving Defibrillator to its Kin Centre in Goderich

The Goderich Kinsmen announced on Friday in collaboration with the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund that its Goderich Kin Centre is the latest location to receive the donation of a defibrillator thanks to donations from the community.

Patrick Armstrong, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Fund said the 153rd donation of a defibrillator was in honour of a local World War 1 vet lost in 1918.

“Tonight we honour James Finleon. He was a Huron County native who served in World War 1. His family is here tonight and they allowed us the honour of doing this donation in honour in memory of him. He was killed on October 10th, 1918. Sunk from a Royal Mail ship.”

There have been 6 lives saved by donated Defibrillators from the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund.
