The Town of Goderich alongside Central Huron, Huron County OPP and the Avon Maitland District School Board have received approval from the Ministry of the Solicitor General under the Proceeds of Crime Front-Line Policing Grant Program.
This grant to the tune of $256,500 will allow the OPP to kick off the Huron Safe Schools & Proceeds of Crime Initiative up to 2026.
The grant provides reinvested assets seized during criminal prosecutions to support front line policing efforts related to crime prevention add community safety and well being initiatives.
