The chemistry competition is held for grade 5-8 students with Sarah Bell, Logan Forrest and Riley Arthur named as the big winners for this year.
The students were guided by their science and math teacher, Adrian Rau.
The team competed against other Canadian students as well as American and Chinese teams in the virtual competition held earlier this year.
All three students worked together in two competitions, academic and video.
Students learned chemical terms and theories and answered multiple choice questions and short answers on competition day.
The students focused on their video topic titled “Hydrocarbon Emissions and Their Effects on Plant Life.”
