The green bin program is coming to Walkerton.
Organic materials will now be taken in the town which aims to help reduce landfill waste, lower greenhouse gas emissions and create a cleaner Brockton.
Items taken in the green bin includes fruit and vegetable scraps, meat, bones and dairy, coffee grounds and tea bags, eggshells as well as paper products like napkins and paper towels.
Residents are asked to keep contaminants out of your green bin such as plastic bags and packaging, metal, glass and construction materials.
