Grey Bruce Home Sales in May see 26.4% Decline versus Same Time Last Year

The Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound released the sales numbers for May and they show that the number of sales last month was 26.4% below levels a year ago.

There were 270 homes sold in May which is 11.5% below the 5-year average and 18.8% below the 10-year average.

On a year-to-date basis home sales total 1210 units. This is a decline of 16.2% from the same period in 2021.

The MLS HPI composite benchmark price sat at $645,200 in May, an increase of 23.7% compared to a year ago. The average price of a home sold last month was $716,626, a gain of 8.4% from May 2021.
