Grey County has broken ground for a new transportation services depot just west of Flesherton.
The new depot will include multiple drive through bays for heavy equipment and fleet vehicles, a standalone storage building for salt and other minerals.
The facility will be equipped to serve as a backup emergency operations centre in the event the Grey County Administration Building becomes inaccessible or unsuitable during an emergency.
Construction on the site will continue through 2026 and into 2027 with some areas of the site being in operation in time for the winter season.
