Grey Highlands has approved the 2026 budget, ending the first municipal budget process under the new Strong Mayor Powers and Building Homes Act framework.
The budget includes a municipal levy of $20,151,616 or an overall tax increase of 5.9 per cent.
The approved budget continues to prioritize investment in core municipal infrastructure, essential services and long term asset sustainability consistent with the Municipality’s 10 Year Capital Plan and Asset Management Plan.
A capital of $21.8 million includes investments in Road repair and reconstruction projects, bridge replacement, equipment replacement and fire services equipment and firefighter cancer prevention initiatives.
