As of Saturday, the two month GST and HST cut begins, reducing the cost of some essential goods for Canadians.
The tax cut will be in effect until February 15th with the cut on the tax including beer and wine, prepared foods, restaurant meals, non alcoholic drinks, most children toys and clothing, diapers, video games, books and magazines.
The federal government says someone spending $2000 during the tax free period aims to save between $100-$300.
