On March 29th at around 3:45pm, Hanover police responded to the 500 block on 10th Avenue for a disturbance.
It was reported a person was stabbed during an altercation on the street.
Officers arrived and determined the stabbing occurred after a fight broke out between two men near the intersection of 10th Avenue and 12th Street.
Investigation also reveled the suspect slashed the tires of a vehicle parked on a roadway in front of the residence of the victim.
The 30 year old victim was treated by paramedics.
The suspect was located and taken into custody without incident with the knife also recovered.
The 42 year old from Hanover has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Mischief Under $5000.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
