Hanover Marks Construction of New Police Station

Hanover Marks Construction of New Police Station

The Town of Hanover has marked the start of construction of a new police station on 10th Avenue.

The new station will be constructed adjacent to the Civic Theatre at the former fire hall property on 443 10th Avenue replacing the current facility which has served the community since 1979.

Construction was awarded to Domm Construction Ltd after a competitive tender process with a successful bid of $10.18 million.

The near 15,500 square foot, two storey facility will meet operational needs of Hanover Police and provide flexibility for future growth.

Mayor Sue Patterson says the station will provide members with a modern, functional and efficient facility which supports policing needs and allow for future growth.

Construction will continue through 2027 with the building supporting modern policing operations, accessibility and long term service delivery for the community.
