An over $70,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant received last year has been put to good use by the South-East Grey Community Health Centre.
The grant totaling $74,200 from the Resilient Communities Fund has been put forward to develop a community response pathway to elder abuse.
The health centre has been able to work with the Grey Bruce Elder Abuse Prevention Network and build a plan which looks at prevention and response to elder abuse.
Funds from the grant helped cover staffing costs as well as for hosting focus group sessions and prepare and print information materials and with some technical equipment costs.
