Huron County OPP are up next to be equipped with body cameras.
Following the success of the in car cameras which added the Automated Licence Plate Recognition system, Huron OPP across other detachments in the West Region have added body cameras for every officer.
These cameras will be on the front of officers vests and will be clearly visible for anyone who is interacting with police.
The addition of cameras is to improve quality of evidence, enhance accountability and transparency and support safety of both the public and officers.
