Huron County OPP were out in full force over the long weekend who have now wrapped up Canada Road Safety Week.
Officers again put a heavy focus on the ‘big four” factors of serious collisions on OPP patrolled roadways including Impaired Driving, Distracted Driving, Aggressive Driving and not wearing a seatbelt.
Huron County OPP laid 330 traffic charges over the campaign which ran from June 21st-July 1st including 160 speeding charges, 6 impaired driving, 52 seat belt infractions and 7 distracted driving.
Another 48 RIDE programs were setup across the county over the campaign.
Police investigated 23 crashes with injuries reported at 5 of the collision scenes.
