Huron County Purchasing Two New Ambulances

Huron County Purchasing Two New Ambulances

Huron County council is purchasing two new ambulances.

Council gave the green light for the purchase which will come at a cost of $657,304 each from Demers Ambulances.

Two companies were considered for replacements of the current fleet but only one had responded with the other company not making the type of ambulance used within the county.

Ambulances usually serve for around 5 years and get replaced in the 6th year.

The new fleet expected in December 2025 will have advanced features such as a UV Air Sterilization System and HEPA filter system to prevent airborne illness transmission.
