The Huron Hospice is holding an open house next month, showcasing the Bender House for all.
Taking place on June 18th from 2-8pm, the open house allows all to learn more about the Hospice services and its role in the community.
Huron Hospice Executive Director Willy Van Klooster says at the Hospice they believe death is a natural part of living and everyone should have access to hospice and palliative care.
Last year, trained home hospice care and respite volunteers made 567 visits across the county with 54 people dying at the Bender house.
90 people attended grief group sessions. For almost 30 years countless families have relied on Huron Hospice services during difficult times.
