Huron-Kinloss resident arrested after serious assault of 57-year-old

The South Bruce OPP is investigating a serious assault that left a 57-year-old Huron-Kinloss resident with life-threatening injuries.

The incident was reported on Sunday, Sept. 4 around 11:45 p.m. at a residence along Jessie St.

Officers attended the scene with members of the Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services.

A 26-year-old Huron-Kinloss resident has been charged with Aggravated Assault. The accused currently remains in custody.

Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
